TLC had run a popular face-to-face (F2F) course on Personal Resilience.

To mitigate workload, geographical location, and conflicting individual schedule issues, clients suggested that a fully online course might facilitate greater participation.

TLC wanted a solution that what was not your typical “set and forget”  e-learning module; but rather one that would:

  • ·  Engage learners participating in critical thinking
  • ·  Enable them to maintain personalized connections with learners
  • ·  Encourage learners to develop strategies to maintain and build their own resilience

Orange Owl designed a fully online solution using Curatr, an award-winning social learning platform.

The course ran over four weeks, with a new level opening each week. A TLC Facilitator was on hand asynchonously to encourage the conversation and provide additional expertise.

Post course learners submitted a Wellbeing Form that was used to provide personalised coaching by the TLC team.

Learning Locker provided learning analytics that enabled the Facilitator to keep track of learners progress and measure facilitator impact on engagement.


The social learning experience enabled users to engage in critical thinking and peer to peer learning with over 581 comments made throughout the course.

TLC to maintain a positive client relationship through the provision of ongoing expertise and discourse which aligned with TLC values – Improvement, Generosity, Interdependence and Integrity.

Feedback from users was excellent, with 93% of the participants saying they would ‘Strongly’ recommend the program to their colleagues and friends.
